Hello friends, hope you're all doing well. I just want to confirm, what are the risks of re-sending an SOP to the IRCC?

Yesterday I was re-reading my SOP that I submitted to the IRCC 3 days ago and I found a paragraph that seemed like it was marketing my country of residence rather than talking about how I will benefit from that new degree. I changed that paragraph, making absolutely sure anything that was important remained intact, just to clarify my intentions harder for the officer so it is easier for him/her to understand my case much better.

Furthermore, I tightened up my home ties a little further to make sure that the officer gets the point through that I am going home and not planning to stay, which is true but was poorly communicated in my former draft.

Am I in a mess? This is my first application and I am flying blind a little

Thank you for reading this

You can try sending the updated SOP via web form but there is no guarantees they will review or consider it. The SOP you submitted as part of your application should have been the final and not a draft.

I thought the version 3 days ago was finalized, but the more I read it post-submission, the more cracks it had. Or, in other words, the more "generic" it was... It wasn't convincing enough for me so I am sure it wasn't going to be convincing enough for the officer either. Regardless, this one is good. I just pray hard that they consider it because it magnifies well on extremely important points

Or they compare the two letters and look at what you changed not for the better. Or they don't read the new letter at all. You show the opportunities in country of citizenship unless you have PR in another country.

OK not much I can do now but start praying that I'm not doomed. I know they'll be over-analyzing every line, so I did not try to make any major questionable changes

Ultimately the time to do a comprehensive review and to make updates was before submitting the application. Again, you can submit a new SOP via web form but no guarantee it will be considered.
