In ur AOR email there are instructions given on how to inform them of changes or mistakes.
Use that medium, tell them the name is incorrect. fill up the form and scan it and sent it to that email address given.
They will get back to u saying if what uve done is accurate or whether anything more needs to be done

Well, I was under the impression that sending the app form with the updated NOC might throw wrong signals...This was the impression I got from other senior members too...Are you sure about this?

But tell me something?
The noc u have on ur sent form ... is that correct, r u sure that code will be approved?
if the above questions r "YES" then u don't need to resend another noc form.
I thought u old noc u mentioned on the form is totally incorrect.

Here is the thing..

I performed duties related to NOC 2171 during my entire stay in Canada but unfortunately, my first WP has the occupation as "Embedded Systems & Software Designer" and all the subsequent ones have "Computer System and Analysts". I recently came to know that "Embedded Systems & Software Designer" does not belong to NOC 2171. I have already sent the app form with NOC 2171 for my entire stay in Canada.

Whatever reference letters, LMO related documents I have state the NOC as 2171. So I thought that it would be a problem if I put a NOC just to match with the WP occupation title and really does not reflect the duties which I actually perform.

Ok so if ur LMO states noc 2171. Then there is very little bad the processing officer can do, cos its HRSDC who assigned u that noc code. If anything then HRSDC shud be help liable godforbid if the officer makes noise.
But I guess he shud be satisfied that ur noc code is indeed govt approved on ur lmo. so u can relax..
but u know how some officers react right ?
So just don't think about it now, if u already got ur AOR then ur first step is done, now patiently wait for the officers reply.
Even I am sceptical when it comes to noc codes etc ... cos cic, hrsdc etc r so lame that they expect every title in the job market to match exactly what the noc code duty states, which to me sounds very inappropriate.
I am how is it even possible to have such a close resemblance...

Well, my first WP which was issued at the Port of Entry was an ICT and that has the occupation as "Embedded sys & software designer (NOC 2173)", the next WP was also an ICT but it had the occupation as "comp analyst & consultant (NOC 2171), my 3rd WP extension was an LMO and that infact had the NOC as 2171 on the LMO document.

How many years of experience u have in noc 2171 ?
and how years many In total in Canada ?

If I just go by my NOC based on the occupation in the WP, then I have a 22 months of experience under NOC 2171 and 12 months under NOC 2173. This is experience I have as on the date of my application.
But If I go by the duties I perform, then it is a total of 34 months of experience under NOC 2171...

are you there winterfox?

yea yea im here .. was hunting on my prey :P

hey uve got ample experience man . infact way tooooo much .. so u shud be safe

So, the mere fact that my NOC codes which I put in my CEC application do not match 100% with the occupation in my WP would not be a problem?

Now that's a close ended question .. I cant really just say "NO".. exceptions maybe considered.
Its all upto the Officer, but from your end you r safe.
