Hi all/seniors,

I need your kind advice on the tricky situation. I'm an october 2014 applicant living in India and my spouse/sponsor is a PR in Canada.
Yesterday i received email asking for remedicals which stated the below:

This is in reference to your visa application.
The results of initial medical examinations for yourself has expired. In order to provide your application with an updated validity we require following additional medical examination(s) for your self and your spouse.

Chest Xray (in DICOM / JPEG format) with report (in PDF)
Completed MEDICAL REPORT CHEST X-RAY REQUISITION AND REPORT form (Page 5 and 6 of IMM5419) (in PDF)
Duly completed Re-assessment Form (in PDF/word).

Please note that NDVO has asked my spouse also to do remeds which is weird. I have also asked some of the senior members in forum and they told its never been a case like this before! I went for remeds today and even the doctor said they're hearing for the first time. But I met a girl who also came for remeds and even she got the similar mail asking her spouse to take chest x-ray alone!! Even if my husband takes there how will he send it to immigration. We are still totally confused. Please guide us. We even checked with CIC and their reply was they wont help applicants outside Canada :( And I have to submit this within 7days!

Please help!!

We already discussed this. Relax. And you don't have to submit re-med within 7 days. It says you should make an appointment within 7 days.

I heard someone in 2014 also got the same letter and they did re-med only for the principal applicant (since the Sponsor was a Canadian citizen by birth).

Forget about the sponsor re-med (it says spouse re-med and not sponsor re-med).
I think the letter is for people who are immigrating with their spouse from india and they are using the same letter for everyone.

The best you can do is to follow what CIC asks you to do, even if they are mistaken, its the safest way and you can ask them for clarifications after you provided what they asked for.

Yeah rambopg.. what ur telling is soo true!! but stil after all these wait I'm afraid to make a strong decision on this!! :( it scares me that only myself and the girl I met today has got this and cic cant even clarify this....
