re filling IMM 0008, language preference for interview

I am applying to sponsor my parents. Question 4 in IMM 0008 is about language preference for interview. My dad has a decent English knowledge, but since he has not practiced much recently, he is not fully fluent. I was wondering if selecting a non-French/English language may cause to delay the application process.
Naturally, a native language is preferred for the interview, but if this choice may delay the process, I may reconsider this preference. Please advise me, Thank you!

No. Every applicant has the right to choose their own preferred interview language. It won't delay the application, although the interview itself will. I hope your dad won't have one. Good luck.
