Do you get a work permit visa?
I think you should talk to CIC headoffice for further information.
And take advice of immigration lawyer.

Again, why immigration lawyer? If you suggest everyone to go through a consultant then whats the point of this forum. I dont mean to be rude..but just putting it out their.

You dont have to contact anyone....when you came to Canada as a student you must have received a TRV ( VISA) for travel to Canada. Is this visa still valid?

1. If your student TRV is still valid, you can use this for travel along with your work permit that you already have. At the immigration, you can tell them that you have to apply for a new visa...they will let you in. I have done it.

2. If your visa is expired, then you CANNOT travel back to Canada. You must first apply for a TRV based on your work permit - this takes about 30 days for online application. Once received you can travel freely with your visa and work permit.

Hope this helps.

See I have a visa which expires on august 2015.i also have a 2 yr work permit!!!so are u sure I dont need to apply for any visa for going to india

For re-entering Canada - NO

For India - If you are indian - then NO

Why are you so confused - if you have a valid visa and work permit

Hi
If you have any conern at all I would suggest you go to source of entry information.

Canada Border services will likely prove your best source of information on what you will need exactly to re-enter, as they enforce the rules.

They can be contacted at :

Good luck :)
