My wife wants to visit me in her holidays in June 2013 in India for 20-25days.She is from philippines and working in Toronto ontario under Live-in-caregiver programme she has visa from aug.2012
to aug.2014 and one of her friend told her that if she go for holidays before getting open work permit she might face problem while again re-entering Canada.
Please if somebody has any info regarding this matter will be greatfull for us.

We had no trouble at all doing this. In our case, a work-permit renewal was required first as it was expiring immediately before said trip. Also was recommended (so we did), carry a letter from the employer supporting the fact that she is returning to Canada to continue employment there. What's the status of her work permit? If also valid until 2014, then just carry the "letter" I mentioned.
