Re-entering canada on visitor visa with study permit

I visited Canada back in november 2022 on a visitor and got a study permit inside canada but couldn't get into a public college so came back to India.

I will be travelling back to Canada in May, will I be able to re-enter Canada on visitor visa and study permit? or do i have to have a study visa?

How did you get a study permit without admission of a collage?
Isn't the permit tie to a DLI?

Also perplexed about getting a study permit if you didn’t get accepted into a school first. Schools are supposed to report students who
Don’t attend their program to IRC and IRCC is supposed to cancel their permit. It doesn’t happen in all cases but there is a good chance that your study permit has already been cancelled.
