Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the travel outside of Canada (to the US or other country) on IEC working holiday visa.

If, as an IEC work permit holder, I travel to the US or other countries while my wp is still valid, can I easily return back to Canada and continue using it?

Am I supposed to do the same procedure as when I entered Canada the first time (have all the required documents, proof of funds etc.), and can they deny me entering even though I just went on holidays somewhere else in the middle of my IEC year?

I have read somewhere that it is something like that but now I can’t seem to find it, so if someone knows where to read about this situation please let me know!

Thanks!

Yes - you can travel to the US and then return. No - you won't have to go through the same process again as you did when you originally entered Canada to trigger your IEC.
