Hi everybody,

I'm an international student in canada. I legally got married in the beginning of this year, 2018. She did my sponsorship so as i can received my PR and an open work permit in june 2018. Recently got into a fight and in her anger, she withdrawn the documents, july 2018.

Now that everything is back to normal and sad of her act, we are back together. She wants to submit again my application but some of her relatives and friends are saying thats its not good or it can bring a lot of trouble. Is it true?

What should we do to re apply? Should she send a letter with it why she withdrawn it and i guess the reason she put to withdrawn it, was separation.

I really need your help guys. Hope to hear from you all soon.

Thanks

Regards,
Job

If an application is withdrawn without any processing taking place, your application may not be in the IRCC system along with full details.

However, IRCC likes keeping records and likely they retained information details from your earlier sponsorship application.

After withdrawing your spousal sponsorship application you can resubmit your inland spousal sponsorship application with OWP..…however, you should expect your application to be reviewed more closely….as IRCC will scrutinize your relationship/marriage considering you are applying to be sponsored a 2nd time.

Resubmitting sponsorship application will not lead to outright rejection but may cause tight scrutiny of your relationship/marriage.

Ensure you include the supporting documents as required in the spousal sponsorship checklist to proof the genuineness of your relationship/marriage.

Will advice you include a letter of explanation why the 1st sponsorship application was withdrawn…….don’t say you got into a fight…..just keep it simple and within the context of any reason your spouse may have earlier provided when the initial sponsorship application was withdrawn.
