Hi,

I have updated CRS as 456 now & hoping to get ITA in next draw. So, I started planning for documents in advance.

I lived in Canada for 2 years & got my RCMP done just a month before leaving. However, I think it is no longer valid.

My question is - Has anyone got RCMP verification done from Pune or any other city in India? It will help if you can please share details of someone reliable. I contacted someone today & he is asking for approx INR 35 k (~700CAD) for two of us. Is this appropriate amount?

Thanks in advance.

Regarding validity of document, based on CIC website:
'the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory.'

Regarding PCC for Canada, you don't need it upfront unless it is asked from you while your application is processed. Excerpt from CIC website:
'The Canadian visa office will tell you if you need a Canadian criminal record check while your application is being processed.'

Going forward, at all if you need PCC from Canada, you shouldn't be paying more than ~1500-2000 per head for the finger prints apart from processing fee at RCMP.

You do not need a PCC from Canada. IRCC can directly check Canadian records. If something shows up, they will ask you to specifically secure a PCC from the Mounties. Dont waste your money.

I live in Canada, RCMP costed me here around 60 CAD here from FIPS. I am not sure from Pune though

Do not go for it rightaway unless IRCC sends you a request letter to do so.i was requested by IRCC to get it done in a span of 60 days .i contacted worldwide forensics inc, they charge around 15,000 INR and it takes about 2 weeks from india.

My bad, its INR...
We took services from Truthlabs (in Mumbai) and they charged INR1500 plus taxes.
They were professional and the entire process was hassle free.

PS: In our case, fingerprints were required to obtain FBI PCC.
