hii folks

My friend was in Canada for 5 Years, due to some circumstances he left to india. But now he is applying for Canada as Permanent Resident. Lawyer said he need RCMP known as police clearance from Canada with finger prints. How he can apply from India,

1. Tell him to get a Lawyer who knows what he is talking about. He only requires a police certificate from Canada, if CIC requests it. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp

he already have a lawyer in Canada who is taking care of his file. He told him to get before cic asks him to get police clearance. What he is not sure for the locations and process how does it work in India,i thought someone who have been through the same situation could help here.
 
Mostly, if you stay in Canada on TRV - you are asked for an original RCMP police certificate with fingerprints. The lawyer of your friend is wisely suggesting you/him to seek this certificate in order to avoid wait during the application process.
