RCMP for CEC

Hi ,

i came to Canada last November and been working here for one year . i will be applying for my PR after completing my one year of work experience in Canada this November, i have already got the Indian PCC through BLS office in Brampton.

Is it necessary to get one from the RCMP as well ? came to know recently that you should get one from each country where you have stayed more than 6 months. Please clarify and also let me know the procedure in getting one .

You don't need at this time. You will be asked by CIC, if they require one.

It's not necessary, but it doesn't hurt to apply for it early just incase you need one! the process is fairly easy/quick

What countries have you stayed for month than 6 months (excluding Canada) ?

So just get one for India and get a RCMP one for CIC in the future.

RCMP is not required, unless/until CIC asks for it.
