Hello Everyone,

I received an ADR for RCMP clearance certificate and I live in Vancouver. I was told to go to the Vancouver Police Department in downtown Cambie. Would they be able to do it for me? Any info on this would be highly appreciated.

Thank you all so much.

Note that you are required to do electronic fingerprinting -
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...al-police/police-certificates/how/canada.html

and yes, Vancouver PD can do electronic fingerprinting -
https://vancouver.ca/police/organization/records-checks-fingerprinting/fingerprinting-service.html

... but so can any accredited agency (including Commissaires noted above), you have many options in Vancouver.

Awesome...Thank you guys so much!

Another question was when do they request RCMP? Is it during criminality or BGC?

Fingerprint-based RCMP checks are not asked of everyone. IRCC automatically conducts name-based checks of all applicants, that's why you don't need to submit a Canadian PCC.

However, if the name-based check returns a criminal history (usually means that someone with the same name has a criminal record), IRCC then asks for the finger-print based check to determine whether you are the person associated with this record.

Hi @jes_ON
I have been requested the same RCMP by ADR. The letter mentions only my name. So i do not need to get an RCMP for my wife and daughter older than 18? As they also have been living in Canada more than 3 years now along with me. Thank you in advance.

If it mentions your name specifically than it has to be accordingly.

If the letter only asked for yours, only you need to provide it.
