Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some guidance from people who have gone through a similar situation.
My refugee claim was refused by the RPD, and then I appealed to the RAD. The RAD recently set aside the refusal and sent my case back to the RPD for reconsideration. I received a letter confirming that my file has been returned to the RPD with instructions for a new decision or a new hearing.
I have a few questions for anyone who has experienced this:
Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated.
Thank you!

I have a few questions for anyone who has experienced this:
- How long did it take after the RAD return for you to get an update from the RPD?
- Did your case get approved without a hearing, or did they schedule a new hearing?
- If there was a hearing, was it a full hearing or a short / focused hearing (like only on IFA or one issue)?
- How long did it take to receive the final decision after the hearing?
- Were there any extra documents or steps you had to send after the RAD returned your file?
Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated.
Thank you!
