Hello
I am new to the whole process of immigrating to Canada so I have been reading through websites and forums to get some idea. I am little confused and was wondering if anyone can help me out a bit.

1. I hold a MBBS degree and I have about 1.5 years of clinical experience. I plan to do my medical residency/specialization in US and I have passed the US licensing exams as well. An American medical license is acceptable in Canada, so my plan is to move there once I get the license.
I want to apply for PR without a job offer letter because in my case I cannot get a job without a license (which would take many years). As a medical graduate, is this a good idea?

2. I have another family member who plans to apply for PR this month. She has a software engineering degree from US and has about 5-6 years of experience. She is currently looking for a job. IF she does not get a job offer letter, is it a good idea to submit her PR application right now? Since the "Express Entry" program will become active in January 2015.

You can apply without job offer letter, under FSW 2014 program, provided you qualify getting 67 points and all documents ready to send. For requirement, document checklist, points calculation, refer to www.cic.gc.ca
