hi there all experts,

I have questions related to spousal sponsorship.

1) After filing spousal sponsorship and after sponsor is approved, is it ok to apply for visitor visa for spouse and if we do that, what is the success rate?

2) I recently came to know from some forum posts that filing a visitor visa after sponsor is approved and file reached visa office, the file gets priority and is processed quickly just because we applied for a visit visa while the pr application is in process. IS THIS TRUE?

1) Yes - you can apply for a visitor visa. Success rates are low since CIC knows the partner has plans on remaining in Canada long term and likely isn't a genuine visitor.
2) Not true.
