Good day to all! I have a few questions which I've first searched on this forum threads and posts to further strengthen my understanding before I decided to post this thread with a few questions of mine.
Requesting senior members to provide their insights on the matter.
Thanks in Advance!
- As I understand, I have to get the Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) along with the IELTS. While I have already attained the highest CLB in IELTS, I will be initiating the process for ECA through World Education Services (WES) in the near future. As per their website, their required document is: Confirmation of Award Letter contrary to the transcripts that are usually sent. I have spoken to my University and they've confirmed most students usually send WES their transcripts so it was puzzling to see their requirement for an award letter. My senior batch mates and other acquaintances have confirmed there are no issues with WES and equivalencies of my qualifications.
- The WES website states that "IRCC asks applicants to submit only their highest completed credential for an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). Please review the notes below to determine which credentials you should send. To avoid delays, do not send additional documents unless they are requested by WES." For the purpose of my Express Entry profile, I will be applying with "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. " where I have completed a Certificate/Diploma prior to my Bachelors. In order to get that equivalency evaluated, I would also have to send documents pertaining to that qualification to WES, right? I will not get into the debate of whether the certificate/diploma/etc. needs be post-grad and etc as it was discussed numerous times on this forum and on other expat forums as well.
- As per my understanding from this forum, there are mixed opinion(s) out there in regards to the experience gained. My job and work experience is in a different NOC Code (Type 0 - Management) than my education (Engineering Degree). Another factor is that, I've been planning to shift careers from a long time. I have recently graduated with my Bachelors Degree but prior to this I've had over 8+ years of experience working in a different NOC Code; would this practice be acceptable?
