Hey everyone! I am here because I have a few questions of my own. I am in the process of filling out the intended sponsored spouse's form. I know there is a lot of information on this forum, but I am looking for recent answers to my questions. A few of my questions so far are:

1) There is a question on the "Generic Application Form For Canada," #10 where it asks for your country of residence. I have currently been in Canada for almost 2 years now on a visitor's record living with my husband, 1) would I put Canada as my current residence and 2) would this affect our application for applying outland?

2) In the same application as above #4 under Education/Occupation Detail, it asks for my intended occupation. I want to put unknown, is that bad? Is there a better word than unknown? I would like to go to school as a full-time student, but also work part time somewhere. Do I put that instead?

Thanks in advance. :)

I'm not sure if we did this right, but my husband put his 'future career' as intended occupation. He will be in school full time here too when his PR goes through, so he put that and what his job would be when he graduates. For example - 'full time student studying Computer Engineering. Programming career when graduating.' or something along those lines.

Welcome to the forum!

For me! "Visiting" is not the same as "residing", and since you're here with a visitor's record, I would put whatever country I have legal "resident" status for. As for part 2), even if you feel you should put Canada, "no" it won't affect that your application is "outland".

(On the other, I would put 'student' or 'studies' or something to that effect.)

It's perfectly fine to put your Canadian address, they know you are in Canada anyways. It won't affect the application at all. You are allowed to be in Canada while applying outland.
