We are about to send out our package.

What should we be more careful of?
Like use tracking and stuff? any tips?

How do we keep track of our process?
Is there any account we should register before sending it out and stuff like that?

Thank you to whoever is answering my questions.

Double or triple check from the checklist that everything you are meant to have in the pack is there, better still, get someone else to do this for you.

As regards actual sending, completely up to you. But personally, having spent all that time, effort and money pulling it all together, I would fork out for an international courier and a 'signed for' service (note there is a different address to use for Mississauga if it is courier signed for). I would go with someone like DHL, UPS or FEDEX who will track it every step of the way without any hand-off to Canada Post.

Yes, use an international courier with "signed for" or "signature required on delivery" service. (This is so you know exactly when CIC received your application. CIC won't acknowledge they received it until about a month has passed (on average). Waiting for this acknowledgment (AOR1) can be a nerve wracking time.

Make sure every form is signed and dated where indicated. Comb through the Basic Guide, checklist, and if applicable your country specific checklist carefully. Also, be sure to have the barcode pages from the forms that need to be validated before printing are on top of the package with the checklist (The checklist should be the first item in the pile of stuff you're sending. It acts as the table of contents for the Immigration Officer.)

If you have any questions about any specific form, ask in these forums before sending your package off. We're here to help! :)

Yup..what Hurlabrick and Jordo said.

Also I took a copy of my whole application. Just scanned it and emailed it to myself. I took all the necessary steps (signed for courier delivery) but if something had happened and that package went missing I wanted to know I could replicate it quickly.

Excellent point! I did that too, forgot to mention it!

I forgot to make a copy for myself. I wish I had - if only to have as a scrapbooking project later lol

I can't wait to delete mine and never think of the damn thing again!
