Hello,

My husband is a PR and submitted the outland application last June me while in Canada. In January this year he got another job opportunity and moved to UK. The PR application is now approved and have received the COPR. Will there be any issues in landing? Does my husband have to in Canada while I land. If I don't land before the COPR expires, in the future can my husband sponsor me again if he decides to move back to Canada?

Thanks

Hi

As a PR, your husband is required to be residing in Canada throughout the entire sponsorship process. When he moved out of Canada, he ceased to be an eligible sponsor. He was required to update his address with IRCC, which would have lead to the cancellation of the sponsorship app.

As your husband is no longer an eligible sponsor, if you land, it will be misrepresentation.

Your husband can apply to sponsor you when he moves back to Canada, provided he still meets the Residency Obligation.
