Hi all,

I have already sent my spousal sponsorship application, however my spouse sent me her forms and on the IMM008 form she accidently typed her street # wrong, so instead of asking her to sent the form again (which would take more time) I crossed it out and wrote it by hand. Will that have any effect on my application?

Thanks

No, it shouldn't.

My husband was living on a numbered street and he switched the street name and number on the forms (I don't remember what his address was, but that was like writing "12 1017th St" instead of "1017 12th St"). Not only did our application get processed relatively quickly, but he got mail from them notifying him of sponsorship approval before we realized and corrected the error.

Good luck!

I would sign or initial the correction.

If you still have the application, can you replace that page and the validation page before sending it? If not, just monitor the address once you get approvals and show up on e-case to make sure they caught the handwritten correction and didn't rely on the bar codes.

It shouldn't be a big deal since they shouldn't mail anything to her during stage 1 - that's sponsorship approval so CIC will communicate with you.

Thanks for the responses!

I will wait until stage 1 approval :)
