i would love your input on something. first off, when a person ecas change to decision made and you click on decision made. it will say that We received your application for permanent residence on xxxxxxx date. then it say that we started to process your application on xxxxxxx date. then if you had interview, it would tell you your interviewed date. last it would say
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision...

My question is.... when they say they start processing you application on xxxxxx date. would that be a good sign of getting your visa or not. i would love to hear everyone input on this topic please.

That's neither a good or a bad sign. It's just the moment when an immigration officer from the embassy started evaluating your file. The evaluation can result in an approval of the visa request or a refusal of the request.

I got the similar kind of status. My husband sponsored and the status changed yesterday to:

Decision made on Sponsorship Application Status. The details are:

1)We received your application to sponsor null (Applicant Name) on October 7, 2013.
2) We started processing your application on October 22, 2013.
3) We sent you a letter on October 22, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

And under Permanent Application Status is:
1) We received null (Applicant name) application for permanent residence on October 7, 2013.
2) Medical results have been received.

Now my question is why there is null before the applicants name? Is there anything wrong, Just curious to know?? I heard other peoples are getting the confirmation through email

I think it's just a problem with the copy/paste of the name from the file to e-cas. I wouldn't worry about it :)

Hello,

I just saw my E-cas and I am also getting the same “NULL” message when I am trying to login. Please I need some guidance as I saw your post and you also had the “NULL” message showing in the past.

I just need to know what steps I can take to solve this situation. I tried to contact my MP and got a waiting date and said to wait till April. Applied for GCM notes but no luck in that too as all it shows is application in progress.

Please help me in solving this problem. Thank you very much.
