Questionaire confusing question

Hi, I am doing my second extension to stay here in canada while I work on my common law. My question is, I have been staying in canada for the past year straight, and on the questionaire, there is a question that says "
Have you lived in a designated country or territory for more than six months in the last year?" Since I have been in Canada the past 12 months, do I answer yes or no? The first extension i answered no since i was from america

It depends in which country in America you were living in.

"Have you lived in a designated country or territory for more than six months in the last year?" you haven't, you said it yourself => "I have been staying in canada for the past year straight".
