Hi guys I have a question.
So basically, when I was 4 my parents brought me to the U.S on a tourist Visa and we overstayed. Fast forward 14 years, now I'm 18 with DACA status. Reading up on some Laws and stuff, I found out that I didn't accrue lawful presence for being here against my "own will" or in other words, all those years don't count against me due to me being a minor. Once I graduated in May 2015, a month after my birthday, which was April 2015, I left the states back to my home country before I could get anything against me there. About 3 months ago, the University of Calgary's admissions opened up and I applied because I believed I had a good chance at being accepted. Here's my question: If I do get accepted and I apply for a student visa in MY home country, can I achieve it? I know my past isn't the best, but I had a temporary protected status and I left immediately once I turned 18 or as they say, an adult. Obviously I know not to lie, and I've never had deportation or removal proceedings nor criminal records and I was also a good student.
I appreciate the help guys, have a good night!
