As long as the interview letter did not state that you must also attend then no, there will be no problems. Just be sure that your spouse knows the exact reasons why you were unable to attend in case they ask him why you didn't show up for this interview.

it states both out names and it also says spouse shud be present for phone interview .

that means that you should be at home or near the phone number listed on the applications at the time of the interview. They will want to speak with you to confirm details and check facts.

okay thnx, another question, in the sposorship questionnaire i dint write the exact dates its incorrect , can we expalin them tht we did mistake. the the correct dates r these, actually i filled all forms and was panicing and put all wrong dates without check my passport.
please advise no body answered this question for me , i had this on board last week.

I wouldn't worry about those. My wife and I estimated the dates we met each others families. As long as the dates aren't way off, it will not be an issue.
