Can anyone direct me to the right avenue as for just a general immigration from Cairo to Canada? A friend of mine is thinking about Immigrating with his wife and daughter from Cairo to Canada....we have been trying to look on the cic website but really it is very unclear as to what the best route to take would be....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... ;D

There's no one place. Your friend will have to read through the various programs available to see if he qualifies to apply for any. He should start with these links:

Federal Skilled Worker program:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

Federal Trade program:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/trades/index.asp

Quebec Skilled Worker program:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/quebec/index.asp

Provincial Nominee programs:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/index.asp

Thank you so much...I was looking at the skilled worker thinking that might be the right place to start! Thank you!

FYI - If he's interested in applying for the Federal Skilled Worker program under the list of 24 in-demand occupations, he'll need to get his applicant in asap. There is a cap of 5,000 for this program and many expect it to fill up extremely fast.

This is very good to know, thank you so much
