Question while filing EE - Complete/full academic years

I have completed CA. The course is around 4 yrs. However, I took several attempt to complete the final exam. How many years should I write :
1.4 years
2.3 years ( I have got 3 years bachelors degree in WES)
3. 5 years ( 2007 to 2012 from the first to the last exam )

What does it say in your diploma/certificate/the document that confirms your degree? As far as I remember, the further explanations that you get if you click on the little question mark next to that field say "complete/full academic years as supported by your diploma", or something.
My example: I've studied for 5.5 years, it says 5.5 years in my diploma, and I have put in "5" since they ask for full academic years.
