Hi! I have plans for the future to work and settle permanently in Saskatchewan.
Im concerned about a few things...
I am currently attending an accredited post-secondary institute for a certificate in medical assisting in Boston Massachusetts, but the course is under 1 year. Oct-Mar of classes plus Mar-Jun of externship/on-site practice and training in a hospital or clinic. So 8-9 months of school in total.
Say, after ive had at least 2 years of work experience as an certified or registered M.A. and have saved up around 50k USD...*stops myself from blathering on and get to my burning question*

Is being a medical assistant (can perform clinical, administrative, and laboratory/specimen collecting+physicians office lab testing duties) “good“ enough to apply through the Skilled Worker category? And if its not, could i still find an employer in Canada to hire me while on a work permit?

Im hoping to
1.) work and reside in Canada as a temporary resident
2.) Renew my permits until ive spent enough time living and working in Canada that i could become a permanent resident (maybe through SINP?)
3.) Save money while working. Eventually apply for university to go to school for nursing.
4.) Become a citizen at some point that im eligible, be a nurse, live happily ever after with my boyfriend in Saskatchewan building our life together.

Can i accomplish these plans for the future?
Ill provide any missing info, if needed. Thanks ahead for your feedback/advice!

If your employer reference letter can reflect the responsibilities for this role, you may apply with this

Hi, see my response above. Check out the full list of in-demand occupations for SINP, https://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/immigrating-to-saskatchewan/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/applicants-international-skilled-workers/sinp-in-demand-occupation-list

This list is under the International Skilled Worker: Occupation In-Demand stream.

You cam also review the International Skilled Worker: Saskatchewan Express Entry stream, https://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/immigrating-to-saskatchewan/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/applicants-international-skilled-workers/international-skilled-worker-saskatchewan-express-entry

Biological technology is not my practice. However, i am qualified and can perform phlebotomy (draw blood from patients) and perform EKGs (electrocardiograms). I DID see phlebotomist on a list bit not on another. The simple lab tests done in my scope of practice are not advanced as a lab. tech.

So while i appreciate your reply, i still need to know: Despite that i have an unlisted occupation, would a Canadian employer still hire me so that i could receive a work permit and temporary residency to reside in Canada? (I also realized after i posted that this subforum is for talk regarding permanent residency, but that still is a concern of mine, because id like to integrate into Canadian society as a productive tax-paying citizen)

I do maintain electronic medical records and billing and coding. So maybe under health information management occupations in the in-demand list?
