It says this on the government's website and it is not very clear to me
"show that you’re traveling to Canada for an essential (non-discretionary) reason and not for reasons that are optional or non-essential, such as tourism, recreation or entertainment"
Is it non-essential if a spouse hasn't seen their significant other for almost a year and wants to see them again?
update: I found the link and it was on a seperat page: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...trictions/non-optional-non-discretionary.html
