Hello All,

Question: Has Anyone gotten their application documents submitted for Canadian PR returned?

I am on a h1b visa in the US and have gone through the Canadian PR Application process in the last couple of years and have received my passport from Detroit Consulate in Jan 2013. I was told by Campbell Cohen law firm which had handled my application that my documents would be returned. I need some of the original Documents Like my original transcripts from India.

July 2011 - Documents submitted for Canadian PR including original transcripts, work experience letter, degrees, etc.

December 2012 - Passport sent to Detroit Consulate

Jan 2013 - Received Passport with landing visa for Canada

The Detroit consulate is now closed. I have sent emails to

LA Consulate : lngls@international.gc.ca
los-angeles-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

NY Consulate : newyork-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

Any Suggestions?

Anyone in a similar boat?

Please let me know.

Thanks!!

Hi,

My situation is close to yours. When I submitted my first TWP application to CHC-Jamaica I submitted all of my original COE (that's ALL COE from the start I worked way back 1999) then even though you call them or email them they don't care. What the good part is I did scan all the documents that I've submitted so I have soft copy then I just print it when needed but since I'm outside my home country it's very difficult to notarized the paper because there's no original attached. Most probably I'll just request a new COE's from my previous company and show them the copy that I have. Your situation is different. I suggest you need to get another TOR since you submitted the original but it's hard (I know). We don't have choice coz they held every papers that we send to them and they don't care if they lost it or no way of returning it to us. Hopefully you find ways to have new TOR :)
