I am applying for common-law as an American with my Canadian girlfriend. I have never received a stamp on my passport while entering Canada, is it still necessary for me to provide a copy of one?

you can provide a letter of explanation about the stamp not being there coz of american citizen status.

You are submitting an OUTLAND application, right?!

Even though your are physically IN Canada, submitting an Inland application would be a living hell...trust me. ;)

Can you please explain to me what the pros and cons are to inland and outland applications? My hope is to begin working as soon as possible.

Many American applicants are getting through outland in 2-4 months OVERALL. The OWP that comes with the inland application takes 4-5 months to get. You won't even be a PR for 2 years after you apply through inland too.
