my fiance will be going for her medical exam. she has had some previous medical problems/issues in her history. (childhood cancer 20 years ago) (and surgeries)
i know spouses are excempt unless its contagious, and her issues were not contagious.
my question is what is the point for the medical history then?
thanks!

The point is so they can see that she has not had TB and other diseases before in here history that can still be there just dormant. But the cancer from before will not effect the outcome,as it was 20 years ago.

so she has not had any contagious dieseases ever, the cancer/previous surgeries would not be an issue? is it safe to say that the medical is to look for contagious dieseases only?
thanks

It is just to see if the person coming into Canada would be a danger to other Canadians really. So as long as she has nothing contagious, no worries.
