Greetings all!
I've been browsing this forum for sometime in search of an answer to my question, but have yet to find anyone with a similar problem to me.
I was issued an exclusion order nearly a year ago, and with the allotted time nearly complete I am beginning to give thought to my next visit into Canada.
That being the case, I was curious as to what I should do next. My understanding is that once I my 12 months have expired, that I am free to return, and all that I need is a Certificate of Departure. So here's the rub, to the best of my knowledge, I do not have one in my possession. So my questions are A: Do I in fact need one in hand to travel? B: If so, how may I go about replacing one? What is involved, what it required, how long will it likely take? etc.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

1. If you didn't report in to CBSA before you left and get a certificate of departure, means you are going to have to attend a CHC overseas and confirm your departure and obtain an IMM 0056B from them. Without it, you won't be allowed back in Canada.

Thanks for the reply.
Thinking back on it, I'm fairly certain that I did in fact receive a certificate of departure, and must have lost it. This all transpired in the space of a few hours. I went in to Canada by car, was issued an exclusion order, and turned around to go back into the US in the space of around an hour or so, as per their instructions. So that being the case, what then should I do?
Thanks

Apply for a copy of the Certificate of Departure. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/certcopy.asp
