Question regarding Employment section of study visa application

I was filling the study visa form and under "Employment" section there are only 3 rows to add details about the employment.
I understand that incase somebody has changed more than 3 companies in the last 10 years can actually add only this page extra. But my question here is that do we need to mention information about the gaps here ? eg my current activity is "applying for univ" and my previous activity was " ielts preperation" and then it was "raising kid" and then it was 3 years of my job. I can fill current activity row and 1 previous one (with 3 years of exp) instead of telling about what I was doing when I was not emplyed. The reason I am saying this because in India we fill another form which is study permit questionnaire and it clearly says mention about gaps also. So I have already added all information for the last 10year in this questionnaire form. Here under "employment" section of study visa application, it does not say to write about gaps.

Any help to clear this confusion would be of great help.

It is the section about EMPLOYMENT. That means that any period of you life when you did not work for ANY reason you were UNemployed.
So after your working for three years till now you were UNEMPLOYED. In you SOP you can explain why and what you did during this unemployed period and why now without going back to work in home country you decided to go back to school and particularly why in Canada. You do not have a career that would demand this.
