Question on document verification after application submitted

Hello Members,

I placed my application on 16th Feb 2016.
I have only done ECA for my Masters.
My question was more than 3 months have passed after submitting application, can CIC still reject file based on my ECA.

Even though most people seem to get their refusal early on, there is not really a specific timeframe that would tell you that your application can no longer be refused.

I remember at least one case on the forum with a refusal after 5+ months.

Was the rejection based on ECA?

Omsaiom, if your Master degree is your highest level of education and if it is the degree for which you claimed points in your EE profile, then why would CIC reject your application based on your ECA ? Is there something incorrect with your ECA assessment ?

Mine and my wife's degree were evaluated as equivalent to Canada Masters degree, but I only have done ECA for masters for both. Reading comments on evaluation just wanted to understand that is this time enough to go through that evaluation at IRCC.
But looking at the GCMS notes of others in this forum it looks like they don't do that evaluation during the first three months and most of them only had medical updates in their file.

ECA is part of R10 check which is usually done within 2-3 weeks of application submission. In my GCMS notes, I can see the first documents CIC verified are ECA, IELTS, Age and PCC. Since its already 3 months, so most probably you have passed R10 check. Is your Background check changed from In-Progress to "Not Needed"? If yes, then you would have cleared R10 and your Age, IELTS, PCC and ECA are verified and no further document is required by CIC (until next check).

Next check would be Employment verification. People may get rejection if there is any issue with Reference letter/NOC mismatch. Better to order gcms notes and you would know what has been done in your case.
 
Is it possible that R10 check is done and ok, and the BG Check still remains 'In Progress' ?

In my case BG Check showed in process until I received COPR and it switched to approved and closed.
