It sounds scary and intimidating! someone knows perfect english and can prove experience in some trade, will he still be rejected by all employers for lack of C.E.? Is C.E. required for survival jobs also? I think the question is , to what extent is C.E. required to get survival jobs in Canada? What percentage of employers require it? What if you know 100% perfect english, does this help in any way? I think all of us would like to know to what extent this Canada Experience factor will affectus on landing should we get our visas. All of you who have gone trough this experience please advise the rest of us and tell us how we can better prepare to land and find first job in Canada. Any tips or suggestions on how to better chances of finding first survival jobs in Canada will be greatly appreciated. Its obvious you need C.E. for high end jobs so this post is specific for landing immigrants searching for firts jobs in order not to deplete savings. Thanks in advance to all.

Dont worry too much about survival jobs, Roger. If u speak ok english with good north american accent, u will be able to find survival jobs easily. Its just a matter of being picky that jobs are hard to come by. Those jobs that require CE are those that are professional in nature, such as Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Accountants and others that so require specialised degrees (from canada) or those that require u to have CE to suit the local market. Once u have acquired sufficient survival jobs experience which count as CE and with the relevant canadian qualifications or recognised canadian equalivant qualification, then professional jobs would be easier to come along.

abelkwh,

Thank you very much for your kind reply. I think many of the people in this forum are confused about C.E. , like me, some believed no jobs were available unless you had any C.E. I think more examples of "first time" jobs would be greatly appreciated in this forum just to give us an idea. Thanks again.
