Hi everyone,
I am in a complex case and would like to ask for recommendation and advice, or sharing your own experience is welcomed if you had the same issue as me.
I studied a 2 year diploma program in Toronto and at the last semester in Fall 2020, I applied to transfer to a 3 year program which I only need to study 1 more year to graduate (this 2 programs have the exact same courses at the first 2 years).
In the last few months, the pandemic hit my home city hard. It went from partially lock-down to under curfew and it affected my parents job as well as their ability to support my living and study here. I had a part-time job to support my self but it is not sufficient. I still have 2 more semesters and don't seem like have anyway to save enough to pay for it. After considering carefully with my family, we agreed that it is exhausted for us to continue my study.
I ask my school department for help to transfer back to the 2 years program and graduate to apply for a PGWP (I already fulfilled all the course requirements) but received an answer that it is too late. I was automatically graduated from my 2 years program when I finish the last semester in December 2020 even when I applied to transfer earlier, and it is already past 180 days up to today. And school has nothing they can do to help me.
I would like to ask in this forum, is anyone has the similar experience and what did you do to solve it? Have you successfully apply for PGWP?
Sorry for my bad English. Hope to receive your comments.
Thanks
