Hello!
I'm a Canadian citizen, and I'm getting married to a citizen of the USA, and we're planning to both live in Canada. Currently, I am staying the USA with him, and soon we are both going to travel up to my house in BC.
How long can he stay with me in BC, while we wait for his immigration to process?
I know there's a limit of time per year; when does that time reset? If we stay in BC until November, then go to another country to visit family until January 1st, does the timer reset at the new year, allowing him to stay for another session?
Is there a "visitor visa" he could acquire to let him stay for a full year while immigration is processed?
Thanks for your time! And thanks the help you have
. . .also, he's not trying to immigrate because of Trump; we were wanting to do this before the election. And also he likes Trump; I don't know how
