Question concerning marrying/sponsoring spouse from Mauritius but working in UAE

Hello,

I'm planning to get married to my girlfriend whose citizenship is from Mauritius.

She's been living and working in UAE for the past 4 years on a work visa.

My question is what do I need to do to get our marriage in UAE recognized in Canada.

Secondly, what do I need to do to sponser her to come here?

Will a marriage performed in a foreign country be recognized in Canada?

Marriages that are legally performed abroad are usually valid in Canada. Inquiries regarding the validity of a foreign marriage should be directed to the Vital Statistics Office http://www.pptc.gc.ca/cdn/cert.aspx of the province or territory where the couple will live.
