Thank you Leon it s nice that people share their knowledge to the one in needs.

I have been asking myself a lot of questions since we entered the process of sponsoring and I m glad there are people here who can answer them .

a)I m being sponsored by my GF , we started to fill the documents with the computer but I was asking myself wich language would be better, since she is English speaker we started in English but then I realize that I m providing them with french official document ( certificat of birth, police statement ...)

My Question is, Can the Application to Sponsor be in English and the General Application Form be in French?
They provide the choice two times, that s what s making me wonder about it.

And If they have to be in the same language can I translate it myself?

b) We have been traveling for the past 2 years are more then ready to settle down in Bc, SO my next question is,
Can I be in Canada with a Tourist Visa while waiting for the process to go through?
We re still travelling and plan on going back to Canada in a couple months.

Thanks in advance ;D

You cannot translate any documents yourself. As long as the documents are in either French or English, you're fine.

Assuming you are applying outland. Yes, you can be in Canada on a tourist visa. There's no problem with that, but you cannot work or study, and you must maintain status (if your 6 months are almost up, then apply online to extend your stay).

How did you establish your 12 months of continuous cohabitation to qualify for common-law?
If it's during your time traveling, that is someone a bit difficult to prove to CIC unless you've kept solid records or proofs from all place stayed at, and that you stayed everywhere together.
