Currently in the process of sponsoring my wife for permanent residency and she has a Venezuelan passport that is set to expire this month and I’ve seen pop ups on the Canadian immigrations site saying to put an extra 5 years on the passport expiry, I’m not sure if I should put the current expiry down or put an extra 5 years for when I’m entering the data in the forms. If anybody can help me clarify that it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

She needs to put the actual expiry date. IRCC recognizing that expired Venezuelan passports are still valid doesn't mean that she should be adding an extra 5 years of validity.
