Question about the NOC

Hi,

I recently obtained a position as an Operations Officer at a bank and I would like to know if with this position, I can apply for Express Entry. I would like your input here because based on my research, some of the responsibilities will qualify under the NOC 1221 - Administrative Officer. But I am not completely sure about it.

Some of my responsibilities include:

Process transactions
Serve clients
Complete investigations – report/escalate risk issues identified or process gaps
Assist in analysis, development, testing, and implementation of operating and process improvements
Know and apply system capabilities, ensure upload/download of information is completed timely and accurately
Ensure documentation prepared/completed is accurate and properly reflects client/business intentions and is consistent with relevant rules/regulations


There is 9 responsibilities listed under that category, how many do I have to comply with in order to qualify?

Welcome to the forum.
The idea is to have 'similar' roles and responsibilities to the closest NOC, it doesn't have to match 100%.
So, if you have some roles that match and some do not, you can still apply.
In my personal opinion, you should have around 60-70% roles & responsibilities matching with the NOC to give you a good ground of application. But keep this in mind that some roles & responsibilities carry more weight than others (eg in your case 'Serving clients' is not as significant as 'Complete investigations') and therefore CIC is likely to judge them on this merit, rather than counting 6 or 7 out 10.
