AOR Received.
14-12-2010
Guys, I have a question. I sent the full documents to VO Buffalo with UPS and they received it today. Now what are the further steps which I have to expect? When the second AOR will be send? And if I want to check my application status, I have to go to www.cic.gc.ca, and on the application status what number I have to put? The number which I received on AOR from CIO Nova Scotia, or I have to wait for a different number from VO Buffalo? Thank you.

For now you can use the file number given to you by CIO but Buffalo should give you a new number once they send you an AOR. Not sure how long it takes to get AOR from Buffalo.

Thank you for your quick reply; this might be a stupid question, but that number beginning with B from CIO Nova Scotia what is...client ID number, receipt number, immigration file number ::)?
Thank you.

Sydney's file no. As an earlier poster stated you will get a new "B" no. from Buffalo.

Thank you, I managed to check with the immigration file number starting with B, and it states Centralized....Intake Office...bla...eligibility review complete. So now I have to wait for the second AOR with a new number, and after that I will imput the new number so I can check what is the status of my file, right?

yes and at that point, it will say received by the visa office.

Thank you for your prompt answer.

guys one more thing...Buffalo visa office sends any bar codes? what are their meaning, and at what stage they are sending them and how... by post mail? thank you.

i think there is a barcode on the AOR. I can't remember properly now but think there is one.
