Hello All.

To sum up the situation shortly... The Canadian immigration website says that her case will take 10 months in total. Early on, like 3 or 4 months in, I was contacted saying I was missing something in the package and I did exactly what they said as fast as I could. I haven't heard from them since then. If the 10 month estimate is correct then she should be approved in May. Would you say its pretty much a guarantee things will be fine if I was only contacted once about the package and proved myself competent? Also are the estimates on the main gov website usually pretty accurate?

The posted processing times are estimates only - not guarantee processing times. Some applications are processed faster, others (small percentage) can take longer or quite a bit longer.

If information is missing from your application or if CIC has to request additional information, this typically increases your overall processing time. Having said that, it's certainly still possible processing may be completed in 10 months or less.

It's difficult for any of us to say what you should expect since processing times are individual to each application.

You know anything or know anyone that has gone through this process through the Vienna office? I wonder how long is average with them. Such an annoying process... No idea why it takes so long. Especially since me and my wife have given a huge amount of proof that our relationship is genuine.

There's a Vienna thread:
