Hi all,
My girlfriend is applying from the Philippines to come visit me for the last week of December 2016. We're both the same age and met while I was on vacation in PH a year ago. I'd like her to be able to meet my parents and family while celebrating Christmas in British Columbia.
She, 26, works and has had her job in finance for years but doesn't have too much in savings at the moment. She has support letters and leave letters from her employer, which is a US-based staffing agency.
I am planning on paying for everything, including her flight, while she is here. This is something I will state in the invitation letter that I will send to her. She'd only be here for 10 days. Most of those days will involve spending time with my family in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island. We would also spend a bit of time hiking and exploring all the nature that BC offers. Nothing too expensive and nothing glamorous by any means. All of this, of course, would be clearly laid out in the invitation letter.
I have more than enough money to support her while she is here for 10 days.
I am curious just how much money she might need to have in her account for just one week of visiting here? What's a good ballpark number? Should I be providing banking statements along with my invitation letter? I own a vehicle here, should I provide them with proof of ownership and proof of employment?
Any advice would be great.
