Question about Police certificate??

I have a police certificate from a year ago when I applied for the IEC holiday work permit from the UK.

Will I need a new police certificate again to apply for the express entry? Do they expire?

Sorry I know this is probably a stupid question.

If there is an expiry date on the certificate then check that, but otherwise the police check needs to have been issued after you leave that country

Police certificates are generally assumed to expire six months after issue.
