If you're checking on the sponsorship part of the application and you're the sponsor, you use your name. Problem is that, unless you are a PR, you won't have a client ID# or file#. It's possible, though, that the number from your receipt for the fees will work.
However, it's probably still too early anyway. If you applied outland, it's taking CPC-Mississauga 45 days or so to assess the sponsor - that means, basically, it's taking that long to get to the application because they usually approve (or not) the same day. It won't even be logged in yet. Their
timeline page shows they're now assessing sponsorship aps received through July 14th. Once a decision is made they'll enter that information in eCAS - but it will only say, "Decision Made". You'll have to wait for the letter to know whether it was a positive decision.
If you applied inland, CPC-Vegreville is now processing aps received through November 28, 2009 - so you won't hear anything at all for 8-9 months if it was an inland ap.
