Hello. I have a quick question about the interview at the CIC.

I am sponsoring my wife and we are going for the interview in Scarborough. One of the documents they have asked us to bring is proof of current employment for her. We had a business which we have just sold two months ago and she is currently unemployed. Would that cause us any problems?

I have been told that this interview is basically to confirm her ID and to pay the $490 fee, and isn't a big deal.

Thanks.

In spousal sponsorship the employment status is not relevant. What you have to show is that you have qualifications and skills to take care of your family.
