Question about Implied Status

Hi,

I applied for the PR on December 28, got the ITA, AOR and I applied for a BOWP on January 11

The thing is, my current work permit (which is tied to my employer) expires on March 29. What if I don't get an answer to the BOWP before that? Can I stay in the country? Can I keep working?

Yes, you would meet the conditions of "implied status" -

So after my current permit expires, I can just stay in the country? I don't have to do a flagpole or anything like that?

LOL, no - you would lose implied status if you leave the country. Please do yourself a favor and READ the info at the links I provided.

Sorry to keep asking, but checking the processing times it seems that if everything goes well I should get the BOWP on April 6, a week after my current permit expires.

Does that mean that during that week I won't be able to work (until I get the BOWP) or with the implied status I can still work?

It's a work permit through CCFTA (similar to NAFTA) https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ional-free-trade-agreements/canada-chile.html, which is tied to the employer.
