Hi!
I am scanning different possibilities for immigrating to Canada, with the intention of getting Permanent Residency.
One of the possibilities that has been presented to me is the Skilled Working Category, by being part of the P.O.L. list
From what I perceived, if my professional experience background is part of the P.O.L. list, I can directly apply to Permanent Residency (as long as I meet the other requirements).
I was told that the processing time for this route (between application and P.R. response) is currently between 1 - 1,5 yrs.
My question is: if, when the new P.O.L list comes out (currently, my professional background is not part of it), my professional background becomes part of that list, and I apply for Permanent Residency (meeting the minimum working experience requirements), does the 1 - 1,5 yrs processing timeframe mean that I will only be able to get my P.R. confirmation/response after that time but I can start working before then (just by applying) OR does it mean that I will only be able to get my P.R. confirmation/response after that time and I can only start working after I get that confirmation?
I currently do NOT have a study not temporary work permit.
Thanks!
Ricardo
